Cookie Banner Software for GDPR and UK PECR

By Published 13 July 2026

Consentfolio is a cookie banner that blocks trackers until your visitor consents, records that consent so you can prove it, and sends Google Consent Mode v2 signals, all from one script tag. It costs £9 per domain per month for sites up to 100,000 monthly users, with no per-subpage scanning fees. It works on any website: WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or a custom build.

Paste one tag in your <head> and the banner is live in minutes.

PECR requires you to obtain consent before non-essential cookies and tags fire. Consentfolio blocks them by default and releases them only after the visitor agrees, so your analytics and marketing tags stay dormant until consent exists. A banner that loads after your tags have already run does not meet this rule. Consentfolio is built the other way round: it blocks first, then asks. Read how cookie consent works.

Under UK GDPR you have to demonstrate that consent was freely given. Consentfolio keeps a record of every consent event per domain: what the visitor saw, what they chose and when. You can export the records as CSV or look one up by visitor ID. If the ICO asks, you have the evidence. See how to prove cookie consent.

Google Ads and GA4 expect consent signals for EEA and UK traffic. Consentfolio sets the Consent Mode defaults to denied and updates them the moment a visitor chooses, so your measurement respects consent without extra tagging work. Read the Google Consent Mode v2 guide.

One price per domain, by users not subpages

Consentfolio charges a flat monthly price per domain, banded by monthly users: £9 up to 100,000, £24 up to 500,000, £49 above that. Your price does not rise because your sitemap grew. Compare that with per-subpage scanning tiers in the Cookiebot alternative guide.

Built for agencies

Agencies set up a client's banner, keep admin control, and hand the billing to the client so it never sits on the agency card. One login manages every client domain. See cookie consent for agencies.

Frequently asked questions

Does Consentfolio comply with UK PECR and GDPR? It is built for it: prior blocking, an equal-prominence reject button, no pre-ticked boxes, and provable records. You still choose which cookies to declare and how to describe them. See UK cookie law explained.

How much does it cost? £9 per domain per month up to 100,000 monthly users, £24 up to 500,000, and £49 above that. Billing is per domain and you can cancel any time.

Does it work on WordPress, Shopify or Webflow? Yes. It installs with one script tag and needs no plugin, so it works on any platform. See cookie consent for WordPress and Shopify.

Do you scan my site's cookies automatically? Not yet. You declare your cookies from ready-made templates in the dashboard. Automatic scanning is on the roadmap. If you need a scanner today, the Cookiebot alternative guide covers that trade-off.

Is Consentfolio a Google-certified CMP? No. It supports Google Consent Mode v2 for GA4 and Google Ads, but it is not a certified CMP for Google AdSense or Ad Manager. If you run those, you need a certified CMP.

Is there a free plan? No. Consentfolio is £9 per domain per month, billed per domain, with no long contract.
